CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to all players who participated in the U17 Junior State Championship Trials on Sunday 29th August.

The club is proud to announce that Nikolaas Krijnen was successfull in being selected for the U17 Central Flames Zone Team.

We wish both Nik and Caleb Griffiths (U17 Zone Team Coach with Craig Stewart from MCC) the best of luck throughout the upcoming Zone competition and State team nominations process.

Further congratulations are in order for the U15 Zone Team (with our own Ashwin Krishnamoorthy as GK) who won the Junior State Championships in the June/July school holidays. Also to the U13 Zone Team (with Hayden Ellis) who finished top four in their respective competition.

The Junior State Championships are back in 2010!

The Junior State Championships are the pinnacle in most junior sporting calendars and hockey is no exception, with 10 zones providing increased opportunities for players, the 2010 format will be one to remember. The State Championships are a vital part of talented young players development, helping them to achieve the best of their potential.

What's On Offer:

In 2010 there will be 2 Junior State Championships for both boys and girls:

Under 13 and Under 15: 28th June – 3rd July 2010

Under 17: 1st-3rd October 2010

Central 'Flames' Zone

In line with Hockey Victoria’s new development Strategy, there will be 6 metropolitan and 4 regional zones competing in the Junior State championships.
MHSOBHC is part of the Central Metro 'Flames' Zone
